Fertility Support
Having 3 children, I (Nari Pidutti) understand deeply the passion and desire for family. When I was younger, I wanted to do fertility medicine as an MD, but decided to become a naturopathic doctor. What I love about specializing in naturopathic fertility is how effective it is. Early in practice, having had great results for seemingly severe cases brought an appreciation for the profound wisdom of the body. The complexity of the human body and its inherent direction towards health is startling. Your body is not flawed but is always seeking balance. Every symptom is a signal, whether it is inflammation, a fever, or infertility. Our approach is to discover what is the imbalance and work with the body to achieve balance.
Consult a knowledgeable expert
Infertility is on the rise, affecting one in six couples. We take a holistic approach combining the wisdom of Western Naturopathic Medicine with the wisdom of Eastern Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Dr. Nari Pidutti is a registered Naturopathic Doctor as well as a registered acupuncturist whose training in both philosophies brings the best clinical results.
Know the cause of the problem
The Naturopathic approach entails a thorough look at the real cause of infertility. There are many causes:
- Anovulation and ovulatory disorders (immature eggs, unruptured follicle syndrome)
- Luteal phase defect
- PCOS
- Endometriosis
- Recurrent loss
- Autoimmune or immune mediated infertility
- Blocked tubes – from mild adhesions to complete blockages
- Poor egg quality/ Elevated FSH
- Premature ovarian failure
- Infections
- Unexplained
- Male infertility
We look deeper and go one step further
Unexplained infertility usually has a cause that has yet to be identified. Whether its autoimmune, anovulation or unexplained, we may look at less recognized causes including:
- heavy metal toxicity
- nutritional deficiencies or poor diet
- candida yeast overgrowth
- cervical mucous issues
- male sperm DNA damage
- environmental or occupational exposures
- hormonal imbalances – including thyroid, cortisol, DHEA, progesterone, insulin
- food intolerances
- stress
- toxicity and antigenic overload
- energetic imbalances better understood by Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Clinically proven results
A holistic approach to fertility has proven benefits. The Foresight study (published in the Journal of Nutritional and Environmental medicine 1995) involved 367 couples. 37% had a previous history of infertility, 38% had a history of miscarriage, and 3% had a history of stillbirths. Following the healthy guidelines beginning in preconception, 89% of the couples had a live birth. Impressively, 81% of those who were previously infertile gave birth. Not only that, but the health of the baby was excellent. In this study there were no miscarriages, perinatal deaths or malformations. The doctors at Springs Eternal cover the same treatment methods.
Unique tests offer superior information and results
In addition to using standard medical tests, tests that may or may not be used include basal body temperature charting to help assess hormone imbalances and ovulatory patterns, blood tests for nutritional deficiencies, salivary hormone testing, electrodermal screening or serum tests for candida yeast, and/or urine tests for heavy metals.
Achieve balance through natural means
Once all of the information and testing has been gathered, we will use nutrition, eastern and western herbal remedies, homeopathy, hydrotherapy, and other natural means to achieve balance and maintain a healthy pregnancy.
