Heal Your Gut. Help Your Thyroid
Learning more about your thyroid may be daunting, but it can also play a major role when it comes to your gut and liver health.
In a recent article by Hannah Bentley called "Hypothyroidsm is All the Rage These Days", she delves into why it is so important to have a healthy, functioning thyroid as this controls our overall energy and wellbeing.
Signs that your thyroid might be underactive:
- Weight gain
- Sluggish metabolism
- Dry skin, hair and nails
- Inhibited memory
- Sensitivity to extreme temperatures
- Feeling heavy
- Unmotivated and exhausted
Everything is connected and every cell in our body contains thyroid receptors. If the gut and liver are not functioning and producing enough T4 to T3, the body’s cellular health and energy will suffer.
