As close to a magic bullet as it gets
This treatment is useful at the first sign of any congestion in the ears, eyes, sinus, throat and lungs. It can relieve pain from ear infections, teething problems, sore throats, colds, sinus infections and headaches.
The action of this therapy is to pull blood from the face and head area and draw it towards the feet. Furthermore, there is a reflex area on the feet related to the nasal mucosa. It also has a calming effect on the nervous system.
This treatment is best if it is repeated for as many nights as necessary to improve the condition. Children especially respond to the warming socks treatment, although you may want to put the socks on AFTER the child has gone to bed if you wish.
Procedure: 1. If your feet are cold it is important to warm them first. You can soak them in warm water for 5-10 minutes or take a bath or shower. 2. Take a thin pair of cotton socks and soak them in cold tap water. Then, wring them out so that they are wet but not dripping. Pull wet socks on feet. 3. Cover the wet cotton socks with a pair of dry wool socks. The wool socks must be at least 60% wool. Leave on overnight or until the wet cotton socks are dry. Avoid getting chilled.
